The Challenge

TAMIU Giving Day is our community's chance to support TAMIU students. Giving Day will last for 1,970 minutes to celebrate our University's founding year, 1970. During this time, alumni, families, students, and friends are invited to make a gift in support of our students through a fund they choose.

Giving Day will take place on Nov. 14 - 15. Make your gift now!

One of the most unique things about TAMIU is the Reading the Globe (RTG) program. Since 2008, RTG has enabled first-year students to engage with an internationally focused book through their university seminar courses. Such engagement provides students with opportunities to discuss relevant social and cultural issues on a local and global scale.

I am confident that I have grown into the individual I am today because of the skills I've gained at TAMIU and the mentors I've had along the way. Thanks to their generosity, I am motivated to help the next generation of students have an experience even better than mine, and  that starts by giving back.

As a first-generation student, I was told from a young age that education was the key to success. But never did I imagine that I would be propelled into this journey of self-discovery. Your willingness to help students in our community inspires me to give back to my community.
