Intended Administrative or Educational Support Objective:
1. Students selecting majors and/or career programs will be satisfied
with services provided.
First Means of Assessment for Objective Identified Above:
1a. Means of Unit Assessment & Criteria for Success:
Sign-in/Sign-out Form will indicate an 80% level of positive response
to question, “ Did you find what you needed today?” Students will complete
the form upon their arrival and departure from the office. The purpose
of the form is to track the number of students who visit the office,
the purpose of the visit, the type of services requested by the student,
and if the student was satisfied with the services provided.
1a. Summary of Assessment Data Collected:
Results indicated that 82% of responses were “yes” to the question,
“Did you find what you needed today?”
1a. Use of Results to Improve Unit Services:
Because more than 50% left responses blank and 20% of the respondents
did not answer the question appropriately, this measure will be re-done
with emphasis on staff capturing true results by ensuring that all students
who visit the office complete the sign-in/sign-out form. The following
changes have been implemented:
1) The form has been revised to show a yes/no response instead of a
blank field. Students gave comments or placed a checkmark in the field
instead of writing “yes” or “no” to the question.
2) The staff asks each student to answer the question on the form before
they leave the office.
3) Notes are placed next to the each computer terminal as a reminder
to fill out the form.
