Employee Benefits


Employees of the TAMUS will be offered the opportunity to enroll in each benefit plan for which they are eligible under state law and system policy. Eligibility for benefits is determined by system administration with the advice of the System Employee Benefit Advisory Committee (SEBAC) and within the definition set by state statues. Specific information on employee benefits is available by contracting the Human Resources Department.

For the purpose of developing a budget, the rate of 28% of total salaries & wages should be used.

To determine fringe benefits, the rate of 8% to be used for part-time employees.
