Alejandro Kladis -Professor for a Day We recently had a short visit with Alejandro Kladis ’94, BBA-Management. Kladis was one of the participants in the Professor for a Day, an event organized by the College of Business Administration in
During this opportunity we were able to ask Alejandro a few questions regarding TAMIU. Kladis told us he decided to attend TAMIU because of the quality of education it offers and because he wanted to make a contribution to his community, Laredo. Kladis continued to say, “My education at TAMIU prepared me for real life scenarios. Studying in an international environment such as Laredo also helped me understand the complexity of international trade. We were fortunate to be able to learn from faculty members who had traveled widely and had worked in various companies in the United States and abroad.”
As per his fondest memories from TAMIU Alejandro told us, “I really enjoyed the class presentations with Drs. Jacqueline and Milton Mayfield, and Dr. Parhizgar’s classes, which taught me real life experiences.” For Alejandro the most important lesson learned at TAMIU was “not taking anything for granted.” According to Mr. Kladis, “Your education is your ticket for life, but you’ve got to apply yourself 110%.” Finally, Kladis concluded, “I will recommend TAMIU to prospective students because TAMIU offers a small classroom environment, a one-on-one learning opportunity with faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and equipment, as well as a well-rounded education.” Congratulations to Susana Hinojosa '00 "I have an update that I am very excited about," stated Susana. I was nominated by a former student to the "Disney" annual recognition of teachers. They will be selecting the 40 winners from nominees around the U.S. sometime in April or May 2006. In addition, last year I was selected as Teacher of the Year and the Golden Apple nominee for my school, J.B.J. Muller Elementary, where I have worked since I graduated from TAMIU on Dec. 2000. As you can see, my education from TAMIU has served me well! Susana Hinojosa BIS in Education TAMIU 2000."
