Summer Graduation Information

Degree Conferral Date: August 11, 2011

Diplomas will be ready: September 2, 2011

Your degree completion date is just around the corner!  The following are reminders and forms that require your immediate attention. 

The Confirmation of Graduation Plans will be mailed on July 28th and must be returned no later than August 8th to the Office of the University Registrar. To confirm your attendance to the December 2011 ceremony, you MUST indicate your intention on the Confirmation of Graduation Plans form . As you may know, we present the flags representing the nationalities of our degree candidates during the ceremonies. If you are attending the ceremony and are not a U.S. citizen, we ask that you confirm your country of citizenship so that we present the correct flag.

Fall 2011 Graduation Fair – October 11-12, 2011 from 12 - 6pm in USC Multi-Purpose Room 101

Fall 2011 Commencement Rehearsal – TBA

Fall 2011 Commencement Ceremony – December 17, 2011

Candidates enrolled at another institution during their last semester must submit official transcripts for work completed by August 17th.  If you fall into this category, please contact an advisor in our office immediately at 326-2218.

Students that have received Federal Stafford Loans are required to attend an Exit Counseling Session.  Please check back for updates on the date, time and location. You are only required to attend one. If you have any questions, please contact the Financial Aid Office at (956) 326-2225. 

Official Transcripts that have been previously requested with degree posted will be available September 2.  Please note that you are entitled to one free transcript with your degree posted after graduation.. 

Diplomas will be released or mailed on September 2 , but only until all holds are cleared and transcripts for candidates enrolled at other institutions are received.

For your convenience, office hours are: Monday through Thursday 8:00am to 6:00pm and Friday 8:00am to 12:00noon.
