Undergraduate Information

To ensure your success in meeting your undergraduate graduation requirements, please review the information below:

Graduation Application

You must visit with your advisor, complete the application in its entirety (including advisor signature), pay the $30 application fee at the Business Office (USC 137) and submit it to the Office of the University Registrar (USC 121). You may print the application by clicking here.

Concurrent Enrollment/Transfer Work

Students enrolled at another institution during their last semester MUST submit a "Request for Early Grade Form" available in the Office of the University Registrar. The official transcripts from other institutions MUST be submitted to the Office of the University Registrar by the deadline in the Calendar of Events section.

Substitutions

All substitutions should have been submitted to the Office of the University Registrar prior to your submission of the graduation application. Not doing so may cause delays in the processing of your graduation checkout or prevent you from graduating altogether.

Foreign Language Requirement

All graduating undergraduates are required to have met the foreign language requirement. Please click here for more details on how to meet this requirement. Once there, press Ctrl + F and search for "Foreign Language Requirement".

Writing Intensive Course Requirement

To earn a baccalaureate degree from Texas A&M International University, a student must complete, at TAMIU, three courses beyond freshman English that are identified in the course schedule and on the transcript as “writing intensive” courses. Only one of these courses may be at the 2000-level, and at least one must be in the major in which the student is earning a degree.

Graduation Honors

To be eligible for "Honors", you must fall under one of the following GPA ranges:

Cum Laude (with honors) - GPA of 3.50 or higher BUT less than a 3.70.

Magna Cum Laude (with high honors) - GPA of 3.70 or higher BUT less than 3.90.

Summa Cum Laude (with highest honors) - GPA of 3.90 or higher.

Please note that we only count the INSTITUTIONAL GPA.

Holds

Diplomas and transcript(s), if requested, will NOT be released until all obligations and holds have been cleared with the university. You may view your holds by logging on to Uconnect and clicking on the "My Business" tab.
