Texas Grant Increase Brings
Big $$$ to TAMIU Students

This Fall, there are hundreds of thousands of reasons for new students to enroll at TAMIU, thanks to the addition of over $850,000 in new TEXAS (Toward Excellence, Access and Success) Grant awards received by the University this week.

Dr. Ray Keck, TAMIU president, said the increase in new funding comes at a critical time for students planning their higher education for Fall.

Housing Reservations Urged

at TAMIU for Fall

Housing requests at Texas A&M International University are on the rise and University officials are urging students reserve their rooms for this Fall in order to insure accommodation.

Two housing options  are now available at TAMIU: University Village on the campus' west side, and the new Residential Learning Community on the east side of the campus. Combined, both facilities have the capability of housing 650 residents.

TAMIU Fall Registration
On through Tuesday, August 30

While the scorching weather continues, Texas A&M International University students can beat the heat as they ready for classes this Fall.

Fall registration continues through Tuesday, Aug. 30 and classes start Wednesday, Aug. 24. Tuition and fees are due Tuesday, Aug. 23.

An Open House will be held Thursday, Aug. 11 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom, room 203. Information will be available on admission requirements, financial aid, graduate programs, degrees and catalog.

TAMIU Ranks in State's Top 25
for HUB Participation

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) and seven other members of The Texas A&M University System were among the top 25 agencies statewide for buying goods and services provided by companies certified as Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) in fiscal year 2005, according to the Texas Procurement and Building Commission.
