Learn to Better Manage Employees with a Non-credit Certificate Course at TAMIU

Join us! Spaces are limited. "Best Practices in Managing People" is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 1 through Saturday, Dec. 2. Deadline to register is Wednesday, November 29.

Course gives students an overview of widely recognized management's best practices of staffing, worker performance, personnel changes, feedback and performance management, employee complaint handling, layoffs and legal considerations.

Las Posadas Returns to TAMIU Friday, Dec. 1
Get in the Christmas spirit with help from the 10th Annual Las Posadas at Texas A&M International University, Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public. Parents are encouraged to bring their children.
Also in its 10th year, the TAMIU Ballet Folklórico started Las Posadas to preserve the traditional Mexican posada and regional Mexican dances. This year, the event is being sponsored by Target.

Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings

The Texas A&M International University Office of Student Counseling Services is holding Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Interested parties should call the office at 326.2230 for time, place, and/or directions.

South Texas Writing Project Conference at TAMIU

The first South Texas Writing Project Conference will take place Saturday, December 2 at the Center of the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade.  The conference begins with breakfast at 8:00 and the session begins at 9:00.  At 12:30, writer Carlos Flores will be discussing his nationally acclaimed novel Our House on Hueco.  Registration forms are available in the TAMIU Department of Language and Literature, and registration is also available on-site.  The fee is $50.00 for faculty and staff and $10.00 for students.
