Governmental Grants
The Texas A&M University System, the Coordinating Board, and the State of Texas
continue to look aggressively at four performance measures: growth, retention, graduation
rates, and sponsored research. Continued enrollment growth makes us proud. Retention
rates continue to increase and graduation percentages show strong progress. The
University’s sponsored research is also growing impressively. The State’s budget cuts
have created a broad range of ongoing challenges for TAMIU, and the University must
continue aggressive fundraising efforts. The University has been truly blessed by community
philanthropy, thanks to its growing partnerships.
