University Holds First ‘Discover TAMIU’
That would be “Discover TAMIU,” the University’s
first-ever celebration of all things about The International
U, this past March. The 300-acre campus welcomed folks
of all ages to celebrate the excitement and discovery that’s
TAMIU.
Over 1500 people joined 80 distinct experience
opportunities underscoring what the campus does every
day to brighten futures, lift hearts and open minds.
Of the event,TAMIU president Dr. Ray Keck said:
“Whether a child or a retiree or somewhere in between,
on this special day, we focus on sharing the importance
of education. Generations have begun or completed their
studies here -- with over 22,000 graduates making their
mark here and everywhere. This is where lives change and
futures brighten measurably,” Keck explained.
The Office for Student Success frames the now annual
event with five different pathways to experience, from
classroom to boardrooms and from laboratories to the
skies above.
This year’s “Discover TAMIU” takes place Saturday,
March 19, 2016.
