Certification is the first step towards a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Texas A&M International University.
Upon completion of this certificate program, students will be awarded
(issued jointly by TAMIU and the National Custom Brokers and Forwarders Association of America Educational Institue -NEI):
*Must successfully pass the CCS examination.
All courses are offered ONLINE through a regular semester. All course content is duly approved by the expert Advisory Board members of NEI to ensure its currency and accuracy. Courses are taught by experts in International Trade with several years of experience as practitioners and/or consultants combined with academic experience.
Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Certificate and Certificate of Export Fundamentals
will be awarded to students who successfully complete these graduate level courses in respective order:
Furthermore, these courses are applicable to the 10-course Master of Business Administration (MBA) program, providing participants the option to take eight more designated courses to receive a full-fledged MBA.**
This allows the working professional flexibility to balance his/her professional responsibilities with the opportunity of expanding new knowledge, and increasing both educational and career options.
The Sanchez School of Business further extends the opportunity of expanding the applicant’s knowledge of international logistics through TIL 5370 - International Logistics Course, and prepares the individual to challenge the U.S. Custom Broker License Exam through the TIL 5313 - Custom Broker License Test Preparation Course. Additionally, both courses are applicable to the MBA program.**
