International Executive Seminars

In a collaborative effort, Texas A&M International University and U.S/Mexican federal agencies will train Mexican and American public servants in order to create a better understanding of each other’s institutions with the purpose of improving public management in each country. Each module will analyze the different policy approaches of México and the United States.


IES Agenda

  • Module 1: Legal, electoral, and legislative institutions of the United States and México.    

Federal 

  • Module 2: Legal, electoral, and legislative institutions of the United States and México.

State

  • Module 3: Legal, electoral, and legislative institutions of the United States and México. 

Local

  • Module 4: Policy approaches – analyze immigration, social services and law enforcement/ security.

All presentations and discussions will be in English and Spanish.

 

Registration and Fees

Tuition and fees for the set of four modules in this series are $1000.  Check the TAMIU Web site for course locations, schedules, and registration fees for programs not listed. Since IES seminars are often treated as short courses, which are directly related to an individual’s professional development, the courses are often paid for by the participants or organizations. Participants in IES courses may also be eligible for tuition reimbursement from their organization, and can also apply for group discounts. Upon completion, the participant will receive a signed certificate from TAMIU.
