Phlebotomy
 

Phlebotomy Technician Program

Phlebotomy Technician training program consists of 40 hours of classroom study and lab practice in preparation for the certification exam. Students will gain both theoretical and practical training, learning the skills necessary to perform various tasks involved with blood collection services. The subjects covered in this course include: · Anatomy and Physiology of the circulatory system. Universal safety precautions and procedures · Methods of patient and specimen identification. Preparing and performing venipuncture collection. Identifying color codes used for blood specimens. Preparing blood specimens for laboratory use · Review for the Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) exam.
