"As an Executive Director for a small non profit organization, I was able to learn new information that positively affected the agency. The Program for Nonprofit Excellence included specific workshops that can help Executive Directors and other leaders to effectively lead an organization with capacity building, human resources and strategic planning. I encourage other directors and managers to enroll in the Program. They will definitely gain important information pertinent to serving their agency and the community." -Rebecca Solloa, Catholic Social Services
"I participated in the TAMIU Non-Profit Leadership & Management Certification Program during calendar year 2011. The series of workshops offered through this program, along with the content, have enhanced my knowledge and helped me to develop skills I can apply to my everyday work as Executive Director and leader within my community. I am grateful for having access to these valuable resources which are made possible through the efforts of the TAMIU Program for Nonprofit Excellence." - Julie Bazan, Executive Director, Mid Rio Grande Border Area Health Education Center
"When I first heard of the TAMIU Program for Nonprofit Excellence, I proceeded to enroll and paid for the classes out of my own pocket because I felt that they would help me better serve the colonia residents. I gained a lot of knowledge thru both series of coursework, and I also gained a lot of very valuable networking that have since given me additional access to programs that have greatly benefited the colonia residents.
I strongly recommend the TAMIU – Program for Nonprofit Excellence to any nonprofit that wants to enhance their program and provide better services to the consumers they serve." - Jaime Arizpe, Regional Coordinator for the Health & Human Services Commission – Office of Border Affairs (HHSC-OBA)
