How to Apply

To apply for TAMIU CAMP, you will need to do the following:

  • Apply for admission to TAMIU. Submit your Undergraduate Admissions Application at www.applytexas.org .  For admissions requirements and other information, click here.
  • TAMIU CAMP Application (pdf).  Send appliccations by mail to the address below or email attachment to camp@tamiu.edu.
  • College Assistance Migrant Program (SC128D)

  • You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view and print the documents. Get Adobe Reader .

  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov (be sure to have the information sent to TAMIU by entering our code - 009651.

 

Other documents you will need to submit to TAMIU-CAMP:

  • A Certificate of Eligibility (COE), (ask your school counselor for it), WIA eligibility verification, or Employment Verification Information.
  • Personal Statement- A two page essay (double spaced) about yourself, telling us of your experiences as a member of a farmworker family, as well as your academic and career goals.
  • Your college ACT / SAT / TSI test scores, as applicable.
  • A copy of your high school transcript. Upon graduation, send a final official copy of your transcript to TAMIU.
  • A copy of your Birth Certificate or Permenant Resident Alien Card.
