Customize based on occupation, salary, family size, house size, and even type of food plan. This tool uses the most up-to-date information, with income data specific to each Texas city.

Resources for Individuals with Disabilities

Disability.gov:  Disability.gov is an award-winning federal government website that provides an interactive, community-driven information network of disability-related programs, services, laws and benefits and job searching resources for persons with disabilities, their families, Veterans, educators, employers and many others.

Entrypoint!:  ENTRY POINT! is a program of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) offering outstanding internship opportunities for students with apparent and non-apparent disabilities in science, engineering, mathematics, computer science, and some fields of business.

GettingHired.com:  The mission of this site is “to create sustainable employment growth and opportunity for people with disabilities”.  This portal has incorporated several unique free services designed to help people prepare for the work place and build their careers. This portal identifies and highlights individual skills, talents and backgrounds. No person will be asked to disclose a disability anywhere on the GettingHired portal. Their RightMatch technology matches individual qualifications to specific job requirements facilitating employment success.

Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS):  The Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, or DARS, administers programs that ensure Texas is a state where people with disabilities, and children who have developmental delays, enjoy the same opportunities as other Texans to live independent and productive lives. Visit the website for access to the following services: Rehabilitation Services, Blind Services, Early Childhood Intervention Services, and Disability Determination Services.

Franchises4Vets.com A comprehensive list over 313 franchise systems wanting to recruit veterans. The site provides information about specific incentive programs the franchisors offer to veterans, including links to various government programs, lenders, attorneys and transition coaches/consultants.
