ARTS 4333
Practicum Seminar in the Arts
Three semester hours.
A practical seminar designed to introduce students to the art world. Issues and problems covered will include research and writing of an artistic statement, where and how to sell work, graduate school, jobs, and portfolio preparation. Occasional presentations and group critiques will also be scheduled. Framing, matting, photographing art for gallery presentation. An exhibition of the student's work will be required, along with an accompanying statement by the artist. Prerequisite: For art majors and minors, junior or senior standing, ARTS 3353 (or concurrent enrollment therein), plus concurrent enrollment in one or more of the following: ARTS 4301, 4303, 4304, 4324, 4361, 4365, and/or 4173-4473, plus consent of instructor. Course fee: $40.00.
