2When topic changes, course may be repeated only once to fulfill the credit requirement in this area
3Students contemplating doctoral work in Spanish should take six additional hours in Spanish. Minors may be selected from CRIJ/ENGL/HIST/IS/PSCI//PSYC/SOCI.
4 The requirement of reading knowledge of a second Romance Language may be met by completing at least six hours of course work with a grade of B or higher in one Romance language (French and Portuguese are currently available at TAMIU) or by passing a departmental reading exam in one Romance Language. This requirement must be met prior to taking the comprehensive exams.
