EDEC 4366
Curriculum and Materials in EC - Grade 6
Three semester hours. (FL/SP/SS-Odd)
This course provides an understanding of curriculum development principles, analyses of the learning environment and authentic assessment of student performance, program effectiveness, and appropriate classroom management and child guidance. This course is designated as a Writing Intensive (WIN) course where writing will play a central role in the learning process and grades earned on written work will constitute a significant portion of the grade for the course. 60% or more of the course grade will be devoted to the evaluation of written work, including writing assignments, research projects, and exams. A grade of "C" or better must be earned to successfully complete the course. Prerequisites: EDEC 4362, admission to the College of Education and 2.7 overall grade point average.
