Theory and Methodology of Comparative Literary Studies
Three semester hours.

The course provides the theoretical and methodological tools for the comparative study of literary texts. It covers the major schools of theory and criticism, from structuralism and psychoanalysis to deconstruction and postcolonial studies, with special attention to the specific methods and problems in comparative literature.
