EDEC 4362

Language and Literacy for the Young Child

Three semester hours. (FL/SP/SS-Odd)

This course provides an understanding of the underlying theoretical principles and developmental patterns related to the acquisition of language and literacy. Authentic assessment of children s progress in literacy development is emphasized. Prerequisites: EDEC 2324, admission to the College of Education and 2.7 overall grade point average.
