Principles of Biology I

Three semester hours. (FL)

A study of the basic principles of Biology. Topics will include biochemistry, cell structure and function, photosynthesis and respiration, DNA structure and function, mitosis, meiosis, and Mendelian genetics. Concurrent enrollment in CHEM 1311/1111 is strongly recommended. Concurrent enrollment in BIOL 1106 is required. Fulfills the laboratory science core requirement. May be taken by non-science majors with permission of instructor.
