NURS 3526

Child Health Nursing.

Five semester hours, three theory, two clinical. (SP)

This course focuses on clinical application of the nursing process in providing culturally specific care to infants, children, adolescents and their family systems. Clinical experiences in acute care and community school-based settings provide students with the opportunity to apply culturally-specific care within child health care and family-client systems across the lifespan. Critical decision making, health promotion, family-centered care and cultural diversity are discussed. Prerequisites: Successful completion of NURS 3315, NURS 3525 and NURS 3665.
