Multicultural/Multilingual Issues in Communication Disorders
Three semester hours.
This course is designed to acquaint students with typical and atypical speech and language development of culturally and linguistically diverse populations. Focus will be on assessment and intervention of this unique population. Differential diagnosis of communication disorders vs. differences will be emphasized. Prerequisites: Admitted to the CSDO program and in good standing in the College of Education or department approval; and CSDO 3305, CSDO 3325 and CSDO 4333.
