EDCI 5202
Middle/Secondary School Pedagogy and Applications.
Two semester hours.
This course is intended to assist induction year teachers develop a sound understanding of 4-12 Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities Standards; ethical and legal aspects of teaching as mandated by TAC rule 230.191; developmentally appropriate practices, and TEKS implementation. Developing an understanding of how student diversity affects and influences instructionwill be emphasized. Students must earn a "C" or better to successfully complete the course. Prerequisite: Admission to the Educator Preparation Program and EDCI 5300. Restricted to post-baccalaureate students working toward certification.
