Crisis Intervention in the School Setting
Three semester hours.
Review of crisis intervention skills and applicability to the school setting. Students will reflect on how people deal with crisis, exploring crisis experiences, and begin to develop skills in crisis intervention. Students will also examine relevant research on crises, resolution and resilience. The major focus of the course will be on learning the practical skills of helping children and adolescents in crisis in the school setting.
