Issues in Modern Composition Theory
Three Semester Hours.
This course invites intensive study of topics related to modern theories that inform the teaching of composition to adult and young adult learners. Topics may include assessment and evaluation strategies, writing across the curriculum initiatives, grammar instruction, developmental writing, peer review techniques, teaching writing in multicultural settings, addressing ESL/ELL/HLL issues, multi-modal writing, and computer mediated instruction. Prerequisite: Graduate standing.
