Latin American Cultures
Three semester hours.
The study of the impact of Spanish and Portuguese colonization upon the indigenous cultures and political economy of Latin America. Analysis of the development of new syncratic Latino cultural forms reflecting Iberian, Native American and African heritage in contemporary Central and South America and the Caribbean.
