TRAN 4361

Intermediate English-Spanish Translation

Three semester hours.

An orientation to the theory and practice of translation from English to Spanish, including consideration of cultural and morpho-syntactical problems. Students learn to apply translation techniques and strategies to resolve language-specific translation problems, while practicing the translation of longer texts in the areas of literature, medicine, and the law. Prerequisite: TRAN 4350 or TRAN 4351. (Cross listed with SPAN 4361)
