Apr 7	Registration opens (Returning students see Faculty Advisors; new transfer students register by appointment with Registrar’s Office Advisors); first year students register by appointment with the Office of Recruitment and School Relations.

Aug 20	Transfer Orientation. For more information call the Department of Student Activities, 326-2280.

Aug 21	International Student Orientation, Freshman Orientation and Convocation. For more information call the Department of Student Activities, 326-2280 or International Student Services, 326-2282.

Aug 22	Faculty and Staff Assembly. Freshman Orientation continued. All tuition fees due. A $20 Late Fee will be assessed to students registering and/or paying after this date.

Aug 25	First Class Day.

Aug 29	Final Late Registration Day; course changes continue through September 10 with permission of instructor.

Sep 1	Labor Day Holiday.

Sep 10	Twelfth Class Day; last day courses may be dropped without record. December 2006 graduation application deadline. No registration beyond this point.

Sep 11	National Remembrance Day. Classes meet.

Sep 22	Twentieth Class Day. All tuition and fees MUST be paid in full to avaoid being dropped from course(s) for non-payment.

Oct 11	Autmus Fest. Classes meet.

Oct 17	Midsemester.

Nov 3	Spring 2009 Registration Opens.

Nov 7	Last day to drop a course or withdraw from the University.

Nov 10-15	Faculty Evaluations.

Nov 26 - 29	Thanksgiving Holidays begin at noon.

Dec 4	Last class day.

Dec 5	Reading Day; only Friday classes meet; no examinations.

Dec 6 - 12	Final Examination period.

Dec 13	Commencement; end of Fall 2008 semester.

Jan 12	First Class Day.

Jan 16	Final Late Registration day; course changes continue through January 26 with permission of instructor.

Jan 19	Martin Luther King Holiday; University closed.

Jan 28	Twelfth Class Day; last day courses may be dropped without record. May 2009 graduation fees due. No registration beyond this point.

Feb 9	Twentieth Class Day. All tuition and fees MUST be paid in full to avaoid being dropped from course(s) for non-payment.

Feb 27	Mid Semester.

Mar 16 - 21	Spring Break; no classes.

Apr 9	Last day to drop a course or withdraw from the University.

Apr 10 - 11	Easter Holidays; no classes; University open.

Apr 13 - 18	Faculty Evaluations.

Apr 6	Registration opens for Maymester, Summer and Fall 2009; first time freshmen must attend orientation for advisement of classes. Orientation dates for all entering students to be announced.

Apr 30	Last Class Day.

May 1	Reading Day. Only Friday classes meet; no examinations. August 2009 graduation application and payment deadline (no ceremony).

May 2 - 8	Final Examination period.

May 9	Commencement; end of Spring 2009 semester.
