Camps and Programs for Minors (CE)
Kinder Camp 2014
A time for your child to grow, learn, and make new friends! This camp will focus on Reading, Math, Art and Science. The instructors will teach them through projects and hands on activities. This year we have partnered with our very own Recreational Sports, and it is not doubt your child will have a fantastic time! Not only will your child have fun learning and making new friends, but they will also decorate a t-shirt and receive a TAMIU ID Card to remember the good times.
FTC is designed for students in grades 7-12 to compete head to head, using a sports model. Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. The robot kit is reusable from year-to-year and is programmed using a variety of languages. Teams, including coaches, mentors and volunteers, are required to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles. Awards are given for the competition as for well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments.
Elementary School Camp 2013
The summer is a time for fun and games and to explore new things. At the Elementary School Camp your child will get a chance to use their artistic abilities, practice math and writing and find new worlds through reading! Our instructors will ensure your child develops their creativity and makes new friends along the way. Not only will your child have fun learning and making new friends but they will also decorate a T-shirt and receive a TAMIU ID Card to remember the good times.
Middle School Camp 2013
A child can lose a wealth of information over the summer if they do not practice what they know. The Middle School Camp will provide your child the opportunity to use what they already know and gain knowledge even before school starts in the fall! We will be using Cambridge Victory for the EXPLORE® Test 10th Ed. during the Math and English portions of the class. This material is a portal to preparing for the SAT and to gauge that students are adequately prepared to enter high school. Your child will not only receive academics in class but get a well rounded experience here at TAMIU.
