Electrocardiograph Technician Program
Electrocardiograph Technician Program (EKG) training program consists of 40 hours of classroom study and lab practice in preparation for the certification exam. Students will gain both theoretical and practical training, learning the skills necessary to perform electrocardiography testing from machine operation to reading graphs. The subjects covered in this course include:
- EKG unit operation and troubleshooting
- 12-lead electrode placement
- Recognizing and interpreting normal and abnormal EKG patterns
- Plotting EKG axis
- Anatomy and Physiology of the Cardiovascular system
- Electrophysiology
- Review for the Electrocardiograph Technician Certification (CET) exam
