PROFESSIONAL: Medical

Beginning and Intermediate Billing & Coding- Live
Billing & Coding training programs consists of 54 hours of intensive classroom study. Students will learn how the billing process works, how to file insurance claims and how the collections process works. Students also learn how to use the CPT Manual and to demonstrate proper use and application of the CPT Code format in both diagnostic and procedural coding.

Electrocardiograph Technician Program- Live
The program consist of 40 hours of classroom study and lab practice in preparation for the certification Exam. Students will gain both theoretical and practical, training learning the skills necessary to perform electrocardiography testing from machine operation to reading graphs. This is complete & fast paced course designed to provide instruction in electrocardiography testing procedures used in detecting heart disease & other cardiovascular disorders. Instruction is given in operating & troubleshooting and EKG unit, placing leads utilizing 12 lead EKG, using & understanding of EKG grind paper, recognizing normal & abnormal EKG patterns in all 12 leads & plotting EKG axis.

Medical Office Administration- Live
Medical Office personnel work in variety of medical-related settings:private medical clinics, specialty practices, hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care organizations. Special attention is given to insurance billing and coding medical terminology, medical office procedures, and office administration in health care. Course consists of 109 hours of classroom study and additional 40 hour externship.

Pharmacy Technician Course- Live
Is a 14 week program of instruction prepares individuals for entry-level jobs as a Pharmacy Technician in retail and institutional settings. Graduates may find employment with local community pharmacies, hospitals, retail pharmacies, mail-order drug companies, and insurance companies. Students will learn to prepare prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, perform applicable pharmacy calculations, and comply with federal and state regulatory agency laws and regulations. Upon completion of this program students will be able to perform all the duties required in any pharmacy practice setting. Students are also prepared to take the certification exam offered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). The program consists of 84 hours of lecture and lab, followed by an 120 hour externship in a local pharmacy setting. The externship is included in the cost of the course and is set up by NCP staff.

Phlebotomy Technician Program- Live
Program consists of 40 hours of classroom study and lab practice in preparation fort the certification exam. Students will gain both theoretical and practical training learning the skills necessary to perform various tasks involved with blood collection services.
