Eligibility:
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- Be a citizen of the United States, national of the United States (as defined in section 101(a) of the
Immigration and Nationality Act), aliens admitted as refugees under section 207 of the Immigration and
Nationality Act, or aliens lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residency;
- Demonstrate financial need as defined by the US Department of Education rules for need-based Federal
financial
aid (if you have questions, please check with the TAMIU Financial Aid office);
- Be pursuing a bachelor or master degree in at least one of the following disciplines:
- Mathematical Sciences
- Pre-Engineering or Engineering
- Computer Science
- Be enrolled full-time in any of the above fields during the semester you are receiving the scholarship;
and,
- Demonstrate academic potential or ability by having a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50
A COMPLETE APPLICATION INCLUDES:
- The completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Scholarship application form PDF

- A 200-300 word essay describing your academic and career plans
- Evidence of SAT, ACT scores and/or class rank
- A teacher nomination form or recommendation letter(s) from employer or
school counselors
- Evidence for financial need
- Transcripts of high school (for undergraduates) and all college work.
