2) I am preparing to take the Texas Teacher Certification examination in History or Social Sciences. can the Department provide help with preparation for this test?
Dr. Duffy is the Social Sciences Department Coordinator for this program and can be reached at 956-326-2632. Workshops and tutorial sessions are organized prior to each Teacher Certification Examination.
3) What career opportunities do I have after completing a Master of Arts in History?
Upon completion of the program, a graduate will be able to pursue a career in government service, archival areas, policy making, politics or journalism, to name a few. In addition to the disciplines named above, a graduate will be able to further their interest by pursuing a Doctorate degree in History.
