Teaching Certification Degrees

Students pursuing a Bachelor degree in the Department of Social Sciences may include a Certification for teaching grades 4-8 or grades 8-12. Certification in grades 4-8 are available in Social Studies while Certification in Grades 8-12 are available in both History and Social Sciences.

Degree Requirements:

• Bachelor of Arts in History with grades 8th-12th Certification (BA)

• Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Studies with grades 4th-8th Certification (BSIS)

• Bachelor of Science in Social Studies with grades 8th-12th Certification (BS)

Students interested in earning a degree with a Certification in Teaching must declare their intention to do so in the Registrar's Office by completing the required paperwork.
