Your personal statement is a reflection of your capabilities and

admission review panel that you should be offered the opportunity to
be admitted to the doctoral program because of your past academic and
life achievements, your thirst for knowledge and the zeal to seek new
frontiers of research, and your dedication to an academic, or another
intellectually rigorous, career.
It should also indicate the functional area you prefer to
concentrate on. This PhD program is "bi-pillar", one of the two
pillars is International Business; the other is one of the following
functional areas: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management &
Strategy, Marketing, and Management Information Systems. It is
desirable, but not absolutely necessary, to indicate your preference
in the personal statement letter.
