Excellence in Early Childhood Education (E3)

E3 also known as the Excellence in Early Childhood Education is a federal grant from the Department of Human Health and Services in Washington,DC.  It is a five year collaboration between TAMIU, Webb County Headstart, and the Texas Migrant Council to ensure that 30 of their teachers receive a degree in Bilingual Early Childhood Education from the College of Education.

We are currently looking for applicants!.

Eligibility

Individuals Who Are Current Employees at Headstart or Texas Migrant Council

  • Must receive degree in Bilingual Early Childhood Education
  • Currently employed as a full-time employee at Headstart or TMC
  • Have completed one (1) year of work experience
  • Must meet admission criteria for the College of Education
    1. Overall 2.7 GP
    2. TASP: Reading 260, Math and Writing 240
  • Must be availabe to enroll in six (6) hours per semester once admitted

Scholarship Provides:

  • Tuition
  • Advisement
  • Counseling
  • Bookstore Allowance
