In-Service Phase (Internship)

ACP interns become the teacher of record.

Enrolled in an academic course at the university each semester.

Courses are in the area of certification.

Continued Saturday seminars in preparation for the TExES Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities exam.

Courses may be used for graduate credit towards a Master of Science in Education.

Mentoring Component/Assistance/Support

Field University Teacher Mentors (FUTMS)
Experienced, certified educators will mentor new interns during the school year.
Conduct 8 classroom observations/feedback per year with each intern.  Meet our Field University Teacher Mentor Staff!!

Campus Mentor

A teacher at the campus assists and supports the new intern during the internship. This mentor is assigned and paid for by ACP.
