Return to ACP HomePre-service PhaseClassroom observations (30 Hours) In compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) regulations, one of the components of the ACP is that of classroom observations. It is required that participants complete 30 hours of classroom observations prior to beginning as a teacher. You must clear with criminal history background check and tuberculosis exam before your name is submitted for classroom observations. The criminal history record and the tuberculosis forms are provided by the ACP office and must be returned after completion. Once you are cleared by the school district, you will be provided with the necessary forms and campus assignments so that you may begin your 30 hours of classroom observation. Pre-service training (80 Hours) The Texas Education Agency (TEA) mandates that ACP participants complete a total of 80 training hours prior to beginning as a teacher.
