Description:
Texas A&M
International University along with the State Grants Team will
hold a Grants Writing Workshop for Non- Profit Organizations. The
Grants Team's proposal writing training workshop is designed to
familiarize writers with various aspects of proposal writing: funding
research (federal, state, and private), how to plan projects that
meet agency goals and constituent needs, and the "how-to's" on
writing successful grant proposals. The training format includes
lecture and interactive activities. Training is scheduled for two
days. This workshop will guide your organization in program planning,
proposal development, and to identify appropriate funding for your
organization. Most importantly this workshop will assist you in
writing a successful proposal.

Participants
should be prepared to develop proposals that are based on actual
programs during the in-class exercises. Trainees may want to bring
notices of available funding, RFPs, or applications related to
their organizational needs.
If participants are currently working on a proposal to fund a project,
it may be helpful for them to think of a project they would like
to develop in the future and bring a rough outline of the project
design.
