The following courses make up the Core Curriculum for all Bachelor of Arts (BA) degrees offered at The College of Science and Technology in the Department of Natural Sciences. Also listed are the Support Areas and Professional Development for all Secondary Certification plans. These courses must be taken to complete a Bachelor of Arts degree.

1. May receive credit for CIS 1300 by examination. Individuals seeking initial teacher certification are required to enroll in EDCI 2101, EDCI 3101, and EDCI 3103.

2. Any freshman or sophomore level kinesiology or health course, one of which must be activity based.

3. Any two courses to be selected from MATH 1305 or higher

4. Any two courses in the same language at the freshman and sophomore level. International students whose native language is not English are exempt.

5. Any CRIJ, ECON, GEOG, HIST, PSCI, PSYC, or SOCI at the freshman or sophomore level outside the core curriculum.

6. Eight hours of science including two laboratories selected from BIOL/CHEM/EPSC/PHYS.

7. Students with an overall grade point average of less than 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) may not enroll in professional development work.
