Dr. Cardona’s International Video Conference Highl ights of the Year 9 Dr. José Cardona-López, TAMIU professor of Spanish and Spanish American Literature, spearheaded an international literary seminar transmission from TAMIU on Spanish American short novel on Friday, May 4, 2018 through videoconference. Our team worked with Dr. Cardona to virtually connect with the other universities around the world. The seminar included four sessions with participants from Paris, Mexico City, Seoul, and Laredo. The seminar, entitled, “Plural Writings: Theory and Praxis of the Short Novel, Session VIII” delved into the study of Spanish American short novels or nouvelles . It was conducted in Spanish and drew scholars and students from Sorbonne University, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), University of Ulsan, and TAMIU.
