Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)

IACUC Letter of Assurance

In accordance with the Public Health Service Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals Policy IV.C.1-3, the IACUC shall review and approve, require modifications in (to secure approval), or withhold approval of all animal subject research activities that fall within its jurisdiction.  The jurisdiction of the Univeristy IACUC is defined by its PHS Public Health Service Approved Animal Welfare Assurance document with the PHS and by Texas A&M International University's institutional policies.

The approved animal welfare number listed below is to accompany your federal grant proposals.  Please see staff in the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects for assistance.
