Accommodation

The on-campus housing called University Village is maintained by the American Campus Services. It has four-, two-, and single-bedroom options for the students to choose from. Staying on campus has some benefits like proximity to the campus. Students interested in staying on campus can check the website of University Village for further details:

Off-Campus Accommodation

Most of the international students prefer staying off campus because of the reasonable cost and flexibility. Students should look for off-campus accommodations by themselves. Majority of international students stay off campus and live in Del Mar, McPherson area. This area is close to the University and the route # 16 bus passes via Del Mar to the University. The average rent for a two-bedroom apartment varies from $700 - $800.Usually, students are required to deposit a refundable amount equaling one month’s rent. Students often share the apartment to reduce the cost of rent and utilities. International students cannot lease or rent an apartment while they are in their home country. This can be done only after coming here. Initially students do not have a Social Security Number or credit history, which is essential for getting a house. But some of the agencies provide rentals after checking the student’s passport and I-20. A handbook is available at the student development office for students interested in living off-campus. This handbook can be found online at:
