Forum on Family Violence at TAMIU Jan. 19
Laredo residents will have the opportunity to learn about family violence
through a public forum on Wednesday, January 19 at Texas A&M International
University in the Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 116, from 10
a.m. to 12 p.m.
TAMIU's Division of International Programs, Council of Non-Governmental
Institutions of Tamaulipas and the National Commission of Human Rights
of Mexico invite everyone to the free forum, which will reflect the present
state of women's rights in a variety of social environments, said Adriana
Blanco, associate director of the Division of International Programs.
She said the main topic would be family violence.
Blanco said the speaker would be Ricardo Ruiz Corbonell, director and
NGO Liaison for The National Commission Of Human Rights.
