Saturday Workshops Explore
Planning for University Education

An informative series of workshops this Saturday are aimed at providing parents and students with information on how they can plan and pay for a University education.

The workshops will take place Saturday, Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at the Laredo Entertainment Center, 6415 Sinatra Drive.

The event is presented by The Sallie Mae Fund and the National College Access Network and features the participation of Texas A&M International University, Laredo Community College, Laredo Independent School District, United ISD and Gear UP.

Workshops and sessions will be presented in English and Spanish and will provide information on admissions, scholarships, financial aid process, state assistance and free resources.

A $1,000 scholarship will be raffled on site.
