TAMIU’s ‘Saturday Story Hour’
to Feature “The Snowy Day”

Children can discover the joy of reading and enjoy arts and crafts at the ‘Saturday Story Hour,’ every Saturday from now through Dec. 18 at the Laredo Public Library.

On Oct. 9, the featured story will be Ezra Jack Keats’ “The Snowy Day” and it will be read every hour from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The ‘Saturday Story Hour,’ offered by Texas A&M International University’s Teacher’s Club and Laredo Public Library, is designed to introduce children to the pleasure of reading stories, encourage parent-child interaction, and the development of a life-long love for books and literature while exploring a different theme.

Participation in Story Hour is free.

For more information, please contact Dr. Sandra Garrett, TAMIU assistant professor of curriculum and instruction, at 326.2678, e-mail sandra.garrett@tamiu.edu
