TAMIU-SBDC Offers Marketing
Plan Workshop October 24
The Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) will be sponsoring a marketing plan workshop Friday, Oct. 24, 2008.
The “Think like a Marketing Guru Workshop” will be offered from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the TAMIU Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 103. Workshop fee $20.
What is a marketing plan and why is it so essential to the success of your business?
Richard Pérez, director of the TAMIU-SBDC, explains that the marketing plan defines all of the components of a marketing strategy.
“When you write your marketing plan, you will address the details of your market analysis, sales, advertising, and public relations campaigns. The right product or service at the right price is only the beginning. You must identify your audience, promote your product and find the best distribution method,” Pérez explained.
He added that the essence of marketing is to understand your customers' needs and develop a plan that surrounds those needs.
“Let's face it; anyone that has a business has a desire to grow their business. The most effective way to grow and expand your business is by focusing on the marketing plan,” Pérez concluded.
