TAMIU Chorale Concert
Features Music on Animal Themes

Join the Texas A&M International University Chorale for their fall concert — “Musical Menagerie: A Choral Evening on Animal Themes” Monday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall.

Admission is free and open to the public.

“The TAMIU Chorale will perform musical selections entirely devoted to animal subjects, beginning with madrigals and rounds by Renaissance composers such as Josquin des Pres, Pierre Passareau and Thomas Weelkes. The choir will round out the evening with modern pieces by Aaron Copland, Alan Billingsley and John Rutter. Humorous poetry readings by various Chorale members will precede each of the musical numbers,” said Dana Crabtree, Chorale director and instructor of music and voice/choirs.

Certain selections will also feature Rebeca Anderson on piano and Mark López on classical guitar.

The TAMIU Chorale is made up of TAMIU students.
